Corduff Notes
Corduff: Walk, Run Cycle: Keep free Sunday July 6th for Corduff Gaels Walk, Run ,Cycle Fundraiser. This will be a fun activity that the whole family can take part in. Sponsorship cards are being distributed at the moment to everybody who uses the excellent facilities in Corduff, the Men, the Ladies & the Juveniles and we are asking for your support . All monies raised will go directly to pitch maintenance. Juveniles: U6 / U8 /10. Training is scheduled every Saturday from 10.00 to 11.15. The next U10 blitz will be on Saturday June 14th in Cloghan. Start time is 12pm The next U8 blitz will be on Saturday June 21st in Cloghan. Start time is 12pm U12 The U12’s Football League Division 2B campaign got off to a winning start against Rockcorry on Saturday June 7th. Round 2 is away to Eire Óg on Saturday June 14th. Throw in is at 12pm. U14 The U14’s progressed to the semi finals of the Division 3 Championship with an impressive 12pt win at home against Eire Óg on Thursday June 5th. Clontibret Notes
Clontibret Senior League We await our next league game which is a home tie against Latton on Saturday, 21st June at 7pm. Reserve League Division 1 Clontibret 1-14, Truagh 1-8. We travelled to Truagh last Wednesday with the bare minimum and went in at the break after having wind advantage a point up. A superb second half performance, where the boys rallied in every sector of the field, ensured victory. The league match due to take place on Wednesday, 18th June has been postponed to a later date. O’Duffy Cup Clontibret 1-17, Tyholland 1-12. A spirited display, especially in the closing minutes when we came back from a one-point deficit to a five-point win to claim a place against Scotstown in the semi-final. This will take place next Wednesday, 18th June in Scotstown at 7.45pm. Best of luck to all involved. McKeown Cup This match will now take place on Tuesday, 24th June in Toome at 7.30pm.

Alpha Lotto – Results for last Sunday nights draw were L,I,O,N. There was no winner. Lucky Dip McKenna Bro’s, Swords, Damien McPhillips, Smithboro, Fiona Mullen, Mulladuff, Pauline Dempsey, Latton, Veronica McGorman, Coolatty, Eddie&Una Johnston, Magherarney, Teresa McGorman, Smithboro. Congratulations and thanks to all our supporters and sellers. Next Sunday jackpot will be €6,800. We would encourage all of you to participate in the Lotto and spread the word among your family and friends. If you are not in you can’t win. Senior Men – played away to Blackhill on Saturday evening last. Final score Blackhill 2-10 Eire Og 0-09. Focus now turns to the championship this weekend when we meet Aughnamullen on Saturday evening in Drumhowan. Throw in 7.30pm. U-14 Boys – had a good win at home to Drumhowan on Monday evening last. Next game is away to Corduff tonight (Thursday) in the quarter final of the championship. . Minors & U-16’s – No games now due to the exam break. Training continues as normal. Examinations – Best of luck to all our players, girls and boys, who are sitting their state examinations soon. U-8/10 – Coaching continues in Smithboro on Sunday mornings at 11.15am. Stars in their Eyes – Eire Og are presenting ‘Stars in their Eyes’ in the Marque in Smithboro on the 21st June at 8.30pm. It will be a night packed with entertainment. Come and see some of our players, supporters and a few rivals take to the stage and perform hits from the 70’s, 80’s and now!! Tickets are E10, available from committee members and participants. Sean McCaffrey will be our MC on the night.

Inniskeen GAA Lotto Results: This week’s lotto took place on Tuesday due to the bank holiday and unfortunately missed the deadline for print. It will be in next’s weeks addition. IFL: We had another hard fought win last weekend away to Sean McDermotts. It was a very high scoring encounter with the score ending 2-16 to 3-14. The win moves us up into 3rd place, 2 points off Carrick in top spot. Best Wishes Best wishes to all students who are taking part in Exams this summer, we are thinking of you all. Youth Affairs Under 10s / 8s / 6s: Training continues on Saturdays at 9:30am. Under 16s: Our amalgamated team are now on exam break from games until 26th June, however, training continues Thursday evenings at 7pm, on a voluntary basis.
