Tyholland Club Notes 21.09.2023

Lotto: Last weeks lotto Jackpot of €3,500 was not won! The numbers drawn were 9,10,14,21 and we had 2 match 3 winners this week; Pauline Hamill and Sue Connolly. We thank everyone who continues to support our Slotto draw which provides vital funds for the maintenance of our club. Next weeks Jackpot is €3,600.

 

Universal Graphics Junior Championship: We wish our Senior men the very best of luck in the Championship Quarter Final against Currin at the weekend. The game will be held in Drumhowan at 3.30 on Sunday. We hope to see the continued support for the lads!!

 

Minors: Our Minor men continue training for their next Championship game is at the end of September.

 

U15s: Our U15 boys will head for Monaghan Harps on Saturday 23rd for Round 5 in their Championship. Throw in at noon!

 

U13’s: What an achievement!! Our U13 lads have returned the Division 2 Cup to Tyholland for the second consecutive year!!! Congratulations to Barry Farrely, Kevin McQuaid, Geoff Monaghan and Gareth McKenna and the entire squad on a fantastic win over Coruff last weekend.

 

U11’s: Our U11 team travel to Clones for their next game on Saturday at 10.30am.

 

Go Games: Tyholland hosted the go games last weekend welcoming Blackhill and Sean McDermotts clubs. Well done to all and all who helped out! his week our U9s will enjoy their second last next round of Go Games! Have fun all. This week our U7s travel south to Corduff!

 

Ladies

 

Senior Ladies: Our Senior Ladies are on winning form with another against Monaghan Harps last Saturday. Many thanks to Grainne Hughes who sang the National Anthem and those who continue to work in the shop at all out home games. The team face Killeevan away on Sunday morning at 11am. Good luck ladies, please come out and show your support.

 

U16: The u16 were out last night (Wednesday) against Killanny. Details on social media!

 

Best of luck to all players, mentors and medics for the week ahead. Please come along and support our teams.

 

Parish League: Massive thank you to the parents and coaches involved in organising our Parish League which runs every wednesday evening. You can find photos and more information on socials.

 

Club Guardian Programme: Thank you to the families who have signed up so far for our Guardian programme. We will have a permanent display of all who have signed up when our new Gym is completed! We hope that where possible everybody will get behind the club on this next phase of development to continue the growth and success our club has seen in recent years. If you have any questions in the meantime or would like to become part of the programme, please contact our treasurer Maria on 00447739010135 or any committee member.

 

Tyholland Senior Gym: Our Gym is strictly for Senior registered players only. There have been a few incidents of non- members and U18s using the Gym and this is NOT permitted.

 

Field Development: You will all have seen the first of our generous sponsors signs along the newly developed pitch. Get in touch with any committee member to sign up!

 

Tyholland ICA: The ICA ladies are back with their monthly meetings the first Thursday of each month in the centre. If you are interested in joining up or curious as to what is involved please call Caroline on 087 7949238.

 

Tyholland Bowling Club: Tyholland Bowling Club are starting back up from next Tuesday. New members are very welcome to come along and try it out. It is in the complex hall from 8pm every Tuesday. You can contact Patricia on 047 85098 for more information.

 

Community Centre: The community centre and bar are available for hire for parties,

christening’s, sporting and charity events. Contact the Facebook page to book your event or call 086 8222426 to check availability. The kitchen in the centre is currently being upgraded which will enhance the facilities further.

 

Condolences: We would like to extend our sympathy to the family and friends of Sean Finnegan, Birmingham who was a former player and great supporter of our club through the years. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam.
