U7’s: The under 7’s enjoyed a home blitz on Saturday last where a great morning of football was had.
U9’s: The Under 9’s blitz this Saturday 2nd September in Currin.  
U11’s: A great match was had on Saturday last in Rockcorry with some great skills on display from our U11’s. 
 
Championship: Next outing in the Championship is a home fixture where we welcome Carrick to St Victors Park for Round 3 on Saturday 9th September at 3:00pm. Be sure to be there and show your support. #BeThe16thMan.
 
Golf Classic: The Toome Golf Classic – Sponsored by Barry Hughes and Watters Maxol – was held over the weekend of Friday 18th and Saturday 19th August. 1st Placed Ladies: Irene Brennan (€200 Shoe City Voucher), Overall Winners: 1st MC Blinds (€400), 2nd Jason Murphy (4no. Dubarry Sports Bags), 3rd Greg Duffy (4no. O’Neills Windcheaters). Nearest the Pin: Patrick McMahon (€100), Longest Drive Men: Jason Murphy (Meal Voucher Glencarn), Longest Drive Ladies: Maire McKeown, (Meal Voucher (View Restaurant Concra Wood). Raffle Prize Winner (Registration): Patsy Boyle, (4 Ball at Concra Wood). We would like to thank all who supported our fundraiser, those who helped organise this event, the teams who entered our Tee Box Sponsors, all the local businesses. Special thanks to our main sponsor Barry Hughes and Silver Sponsor Watters Maxol this support really makes the difference. Thanks to all at Ashfield Golf Club, Dónal, Mickey and Brenda for showing us great hospitality and making sure everything ran right. We hope you all enjoyed the Classic and look forward to seeing you all again next year. 
Community Fun Day: What a day in Toome on Sunday last 27th August, where the juvenile committee organised a fun day for all. Despite the heavy showers the children and families had a great day with plenty of fun activities and craic for everyone. Huge thanks to all who helped with the organising of this event and those who took part. Many of our senior players were on hand to help out on the day and the children all enjoyed the fun and games with them. This was all topped of with a BBQ, sposored by Shortts Butchers, thanks to all who made this possible and done the preparation and cooking. Raffle prizes were sponsored on the day and we would like to thank the generosity of our local businesses who are always on hand to support the Club. 
 
Championship Fixtures: 9th September – Toome v Carrickmacross at 3:00pm; 16th September – Killanny v Toome at 2:00pm. #BeThe16thMan.
Juvenile Training: The juveniles (4 – 11 years) continue to develop their skills with training each Tuesday evening at 6:30pm on the main field, see you all there.
Please spread the word to your friends, family, neighbours and relations, new children are always very welcome. Thanks to all our coaches/mentors who give their time so generously.
 
Gaelic 4 Mothers&Others: A great match was held in Toome on Monday last 28th August, where the Mothers&Others took on Scotstown. A great evening of football was had and this is hopefully the start of many more matches to come. Special thanks to Andrea Quinn and Andrea Watters who have worked at getting this all organised. Please be sure to let friends and neighbours know of our Mothers&Others training, this continues each Thursday at 7:00pm in St Victors Park. The Gaelic 4Mothers&Others initiative sees women playing Ladies Gaelic Football in a fun, non-competitive and social environment. New members are joining each week so please spread the word, if you are interested, please contact Andrea Quinn on 087 678 6560.
Community Notice: Indoor bowls commencing in the community centre on Monday 4th September at 8:00pm – come along and enjoy the fun. Please spread the word and let friends and neighbours know.
Sean Nós & Set Dancing Classes for Adults: To commence on Tuesday 5th September from 8:00 – 9:00pm, €5 per session. For further details please contact Linda on 086 255 9732
Astro Pitch: Pitches available for hire, if you would like to make a booking, please call on 089 965 1828 to secure your slot.

Development Works:  Work continues on the field mesh fencing at 9:00am. Great work was done last week with many volunteers turning out to work on the fence. Thanks to everyone who gave their time it is greatly appreciated. If you can give any time at all it would be greatly appreciated.
