By Mary McEneaney Fri 4th Aug

50/50 Draw the July draw took place last Friday and saw Pauric Malone scoop €445 for himself. Congrats Pauric. There’s always a winner in the 50/50 draw, you can get your entry on the Clubforce link

https://member.clubforce.com/memberships_cart_m.asp?LL_ID=2767&intMF_ID=7833#Anchor

This provides you with different payment options including setting up a 12 month direct debit subscription paid on a monthly basis which will ensure you are in for every draw.

Alternatively, you can get an entry through REVOLUT to @bbol123 putting your name and contact telephone number in the note. Your support is very much appreciated as this is our primary source of fundraising.

U7’s/U9’s Go Games Blitz Well done to our u7s/u9s who travelled to Truagh on Sunday morning for their Go Games Blitz. They played 4 games against Truagh, Clontibret, Carrickmacross and Inniskeen. The weather was fine for hurling, thanks to Truagh for hosting.

U-13’s had 2 league games last week against Monaghan Harps and Latton and after two very competitive matches they won both of them. They have qualified for the cup final play off and we will know who they are playing when the final round of matches are played this week. Training Wednesday evening 6 to 7 in St Mary’s Park juvenile pitch. Well done boys.

Ulster GAA U16 Hurling Panel Well done to Tim McArdle, Eoin Dignam & Ryan Callan on making the Ulster GAA U16 panel, a wonderful achievement for the boys. Best of luck going forward.

Irish News Ulster All Stars Our own Niall Garland has been nominated for an Irish News Ulster All Star and we are encouraging everyone to give Niall your vote by going to https://allstars.irishnews.com/hurling-team/. You can also vote for other Monaghan hurlers, Niall Arthur & Kevin Crawley who have also been nominated. Remember the excitement & joy brought to us by all our hurlers on winning the Lory Meagher Cup at the start of June. So give them your vote!

Membership is now overdue and this is a reminder to all players that they must be registered prior to playing or training in order to be covered for the Player Injury fund. Link for membership is https://member.clubforce.com/memberships_cart_m.asp?LL_ID=2271

Referees we are actively encouraging people who have played the game to consider taking up the referee mantle. Without referees our games cannot go ahead, it is a way of giving back to the game and indeed in staying involved with the GAA family. If you would consider taking up the challenge, contact any committee member who will ensure that you are trained and supported all the way. Give it a go!

FOCUS – a Journey through the Lens is a photographic exhibition, by Glenn Murphy running in Iontas until the end of August. We, like many other clubs & organisations in the area, fully appreciate and enjoy the wonderful moments in time captured by Glenn in matches and at events, not to mention the stunning works from nature. A feast for the eyes, so make sure to go along to Iontas….an event not to be missed. Congratulations again, Glenn!

Clothing Collection the club are organising a clothing collection for Saturday 7th October. More details to follow closer to the time but keep this in mind when you are doing your summer clearout
