Tyholland Club Notes 13.07.2023

Slotto: Our jackpot of €5,500 was not won last week! The numbers drawn were 9,13,22,27 and we had 3 match 3 winners this week; Congrats to Josie McQuaid, Ronan McNally and Kevin McCarey. Our Jackpot this week is at €5,600!!! We thank everyone who continues to support our Slotto draw which provides vital funds for the maintenance of our club.

 

Eurotech Junior League: Our Senior men completed an undefeated home run of home league games after a good win over Scotstown last weekend. Thanks to Chadwicks who were sponsors of last week’s match. We await information on the league finals so keep an eye on socials folks!

 

Minors: Hard luck to our Minor men who were defeated in the final last week against Truagh. The U17 league started this week with a trip to Cremartin on Tuesday night (results on socials). They also travel to Aghabog on Sunday morning at 12 noon. Good luck in the U17 competition lads!

 

U15s: Good luck to our U15’s who are out tonight (Thursday) away to Truagh with a 7pm throw in.

 

U13’s: Our two U13 boys teams continue training until their Championship begins on 22nd July!

 

U11’s: Our U11’s played out an exciting final against the Sean’s last weekend which resulted in a draw. Well done all!!

 

Go Games: Our U9’s had a super morning in the Aughnamullen blitz last Saturday. This weekend the U7s take their turn with a trip to Rockcorry!

 

U7’s/U5’s: Training continues for this group every Thursday 6:30pm – 7:30pm. This session caters for boys & girls from 4-9 years of age. New faces are always welcome…. spread the word! Please contact Alan Farrelly 086 3850435 if you have a child who may be interested in attending.

 

Ladies

 

Reserve League: We wish our Senior Reserve ladies the best of luck on Sunday morning when they travel to Killeevan for the Reserve semi-final!!

 

U16’s: Our U16 girls have a home game this evening (Thursday) against Scotstown with a throw in time of 7.30!

 

U14’s: Hard luck to our hardworking U14 girls who were narrowly defeated by Aghabog in very wet conditions on Monday evening.

 

U12s: Good luck to our U12 girls who travel to Scotstown on Friday evening for a 7.30 start!

 

Best of luck to all players, mentors and medics for the week ahead. Please come along and support our teams.

 

Club Guardian Programme: Thank you to the families who have signed up so far for our Guardian programme. We will have a permanent display of all who have signed up when our new Gym is completed! We hope that where possible everybody will get behind the club on this next phase of development to continue the growth and success our club has seen in recent

years. If you have any questions in the meantime or would like to become part of the programme, please contact our treasurer Maria on 00447739010135 or any committee# member.

 

All Ireland Ticket Draw: We have an amazing draw on our socials where you can win 2 tickets for the All Ireland Football or Hurling Final in Croke Park. You can enter through the link on our socials… only €10 per entry folks!

 

Tyholland Senior Gym: Our Gym is strictly for Senior registered players only. There have been a few incidents of non- members and U18s using the Gym and this is NOT permitted.

 

Field Development: You will all have seen the first of our generous sponsors signs along the newly developed pitch. Get in touch with any committee member to sign up!

 

Community Centre: The community centre and bar are available for hire for parties,

christening’s and charity events. Contact the Facebook page to book your event or call 086

8222426 to check availability.

 

County: Hard luck to Joe O’Boyle and the Monaghan Minor team last Sunday. Absolutely massive achievement to get through to an All-Ireland Final and the crowds who came out to support are proud of our county Minors and management!!

What a year for the blue and white as our Senior county men now prepare for the All-Ireland Semi-Final on the main stage this Saturday evening against Dublin. We wish Karl, Darragh and the whole panel the best of luck!
