Congrats to Stephen Rutledge who won the jackpot this week, €445. Or 5,187 Norwegian Krone.
Upcoming Fixtures:
The upcoming fixtures for the club at adult level are as follows:
Reserves:
June 23rd: Home v Clones at 8pm. Championship Semi Final, extra time if necessary.
June 27th. Away v Eire Og, 8pm.
Bingo:
Jackpot is now €10,550 from 45 calls or less. Tuesday night in the Clubhouse.
60 year Anniversary: Save the Date.
The 1962 Senior Championship was not played until 1963. Ballybay beat Castleblayney in the final on July 7th. So, on July 7th this year we plan to gather in the Clubhouse as a night of nostalgia for our 5th Championship winning team. No band, speeches, or presentations, just a night of memories. We will have all the match reports from that year’s Championship run. Everyone is most welcome. 8pm start.
Sympathy:
The Club was sadden to hear of the death of Eamon Murphy in America. Eamon, or Dodo as he was affectionately called, won 3 Senior Championships with Ballybay, scoring in 2 Finals. He also won 2 Owen Ward Cups. He won a Junior All Ireland with Monaghan in 1956. Eamon was inducted into the clubs Hall of Fame in 2000. A true great of the club. May he rest in peace.
