Well done to our Senior Reserves who fought hard in the second half of their game on Tuesday last to earn a hard won draw against ONeills.

Our first game of the league ended in defeat away to Sean McDermotts. The girls kept going to the end with limited squad numbers.

U14’s
We had a great challenge game against Aghaloo on Thursday last, both well matched teams gave great all-round performances with each player developing each game. Thanks as always to parents and family for your support.
Training continues on Thursday at 8pm.
U12’s
Our U12’s enjoyed another super challenge game with our neighbours Emyvale on Monday night. Well done to both teams.
Best Wishes
Speedy recovery to Mia O’Reilly from everyone in Truagh Ladies after her recent surgery. We hope she makes a full recovery and is back on the pitch in the Truagh colours again soon.

St.Mellans Handball Club
Feile na nGael Teams ’23.
All roads lead “west” Saturday morning early as the club have 2 teams taking part in this year’s Feile na nGael competition, heading to Aughagower Co. Mayo is Myles Mc Meel, Harry Treanor, Enda Mc Anenly & Odhran Mc Meel, and heading to Newport Co. Mayo is
Ciaran Treanor, Fintan Treanor, Senan Treanor, Fiachra Kelly and a late drafted soldier Shay Mc Kenna, we lost Conor Treanor due to a clash of events, play begins in the venues at 10am so it will be an early breakfast Saturday morning, the boys have prepared well and after a short sharp training programme the boys are looking good, and have doubt these boys will perform when it matters and it will take a very good team to take points off them, so let’s hope for a repeat of last year and bring more silverware back for the club, we will keep club members up to date on proceedings from both venues as it happens, good luck all from everyone in the club and the wider parish, keep flying the flag boys!!!!!!!!!!!!!.
Adult County Doubles & Master Competitions.
The “Master’s A Singles” county final between John Treanor and Paul Cassidy was re-fixed and no new date set yet, only other final to be played is Damien Mc Rory & John Mc Carron who play Michael & Robbie Duffy in the “Novice A Final” on May the 4th in Carrrickmacross.
Summer Social Play.
There will be some social “leisurely” play over the summer, starting on Mondays & Wednesdays from 7-8:30, then all will see when it goes after if it will turn into a league as it progresses.
Club Notes : If you would like to have something included in our weekly notes, please email pro.truagh.monaghan@gaa.ie – cut off for inclusion is 9pm on Monday evenings
