Doohamlet GFC  Notes

Reserves: Our Reserve league semi-final against Ballybay last Saturday was marred by the sickening injury to young upcoming star David Johnston.  David suffered a double leg fracture and is currently recuperating in hospital.  We wish David a speedy recovery and hope to see him in the blue jersey very soon.

Doohamlet would like to thank everyone who helped with treatment to David especially the Ballybay players and medic team while we waited on an ambulance.

For the record Ballybay won a close contest by two points and we wish them well in the final.

Under 15: The under 15 team take part in a blitz competition this Friday in Cloghan.

Juvenile Competition: The club juvenile competition commenced on Wednesday of this week and continues over the next few weeks.  The selected teams are;

Monaghan:- Hugh McGinn, Joe Money, Gareth Duffy, Sean Markey, Jason McEneaney, Adam Crosby, Graeme Burns, Aimee Keenan, Mollie Doherty, Kerrie Connolly, Hannah McElroy and Joseph Ryan.

Cycle Fundraiser: Again well done to everyone who cycled from Croke Park recently.  Much needed funds were raised and we would urge everyone to return their sponsorship cards as soon as possible.

Jersey Order: A pre-Christmas jersey order for supporters of Doohamlet GFC is being put together, they come in ages 1-2,3-4,5-6,7-8,9-10,10-11,13-14, costing 35 euro. Adult sizes are Small, medium, large, extra large and 2XL, costing 40 euro. Orders can be made via Bernie O’ Neill, 086-8035929, please do so by Monday 17th October. Please note jersey will be same design as current under 12/14 jersey. This would make an ideal Christmas present for family at home or abroad!
