Magheracloone G.A.A.

Lotto Next week’s Lotto prize will be 8,500 euro for any lucky player that can match all four numbers.

The numbers drawn in this week’s Lotto were 5, 16, 25 and 26. The Jackpot was not won. The following four players collected fifty euro each in the Lucky Dip draw…Susan McNally, Bocks Middle, Michael Jones, Tonanave, Imelda Gianford, Magheracloone and Pat Cooney, Cordoagh, Kingscourt.

Seniors. The semi final of the senior championship is down for decision in Inniskeen on this Friday evening 23rd at 8.15. Scotstown will provide the opposition and it is hoped that a large crowd from Magheracloone will travel the short distance to support the team. At this stage of the competition all games are bound to be close affairs and strong support from the followers can help bring a team over the line.

The team would have liked to have a competitive run-out before the big game. However, they were disappointed last weekend when Castleblayney conceded their league game at very short notice and Magheracloone had to make do with a stiff training session.

Reserve Game. The reserve League continues on Sunday when Magheracloone host Cremartin. The throw-in is timed for 12.00 and there will still be time for a quick dash to Croke Park.

U-16 Final. The U-16 final was played last Tuesday evening and it ended with both sides level. The final score read Magheracloone 1-14 and Donaghmoyne 3-08. The replay is scheduled for this Tuesday evening in Inniskeen at 8.00. p.m.

All- Ireland Stars. All in the Magheracloone club would like to extend best wishes to the Monaghan ladies as they attempt to gain an All-Ireland crown on Sunday in Croke Park. The club is particularly proud of its two representatives, Christina Reilly and Niamh Kindlon, who have served both club and county with great distinction for many years. An All Ireland medal would be a fitting memento for these ladies at the end of another hard working season on behalf of their club. The ladies can be assured of a vocal Magheracloone presence in Croke Park for the final.
