Tidy Towns Cake Sale:
Cake sale after Mass this Sunday 28th August, to raise funds for Scotshouse Tidy Towns.  We are appealing for all those good ladies, who bake regularly for various causes, to help out again.  The support for the cake sale is greatly appreciated as the funds raised go towards all the work carried out to date and many future exciting developments.
Having again entered this year’s National Tidy Towns Village category, we are waiting with great anticipation on the results next month, where we hope to have improved significantly.  As you may be aware, Tidy Towns was one of the many organisations that the late Rosaleen Shannon dedicated a lot of her time and energy to, taking great pleasure in enhancing the village for all the community.  Tidy Towns continues to carry out this work, to honour Rosaleen’s vision for the village.
As is evident for all to see, there has been a vast improvement throughout the village in recent months.  We hope to provide further village amenities, for use by all the community, to enhance the village life for both children and adults alike.  This work requires funding and therefore we are asking for all to give generously, to this fund raising event for the village Tidy Towns.  Your donations help and support are very much appreciated.
Furthermore Scotshouse Tidy Towns Committee would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has helped, advised, donated their time, craftsmanship, equipment and manpower.  Also we would like to thank those now involved with maintaining the buildings, grounds and floral arrangements throughout the village.  The number of people who volunteered or provided aid is too great to mention.  It is so encouraging to experience the vast amount of good will, help and pride all have expressed to Tidy Towns.  It has been an honour to be involved with the community, working with such a team spirit, which have helped us achieve all works to date.
