Currin Seniors

On Friday evening last we welcomed Doomhamlet to our venue, which unfortunately ended in disappointment for us after having led for a lot of the game. We got off to a flying start after Doomhamlet got the first score with Kevin Murphy getting our first Score. We then were awarded a penalty to which Jack scored putting us 1-1 to a point up. The visitors then scored two points in a row before Kevin converted a free. Another week and another great goal by Jack leaving score line 2-2 to 0-3. Doomhamlet scored 4 points in a row

before they also found back of the Currin net leaving score 2-3 to 1-7. Conor Smyth scored a fine point from play to level things at half time.

Second half resumed with Jack scoring a point from play and Doomhamlet a point from a free. Stephen Smyth was fowled and Jack took his point still leaving us a point up. The visitors were awarded a free which they converted before adding a point from play. Dick brought the game back level with a point from play. Both teams were guilty of wides at this point before Jack again put us a point up from play. But again, Doomhamlet equalised. Enda McCaffrey scored our last point from play before the visitors converted a free and in dying moments score a point from play to leave them a point ahead. We had a chance to draw the game but unfortunately the shot went a begging. Again, some poor passes, and way ward shooting cost us the points. Final Score 2-9 to 1-11
