Eurotech Junior League: Blackhill recorded a victory in their first home game of the season last Sunday afternoon against neighbours Oram. Blackhill started off on the back foot with Oram quickly opening up a two point lead. Blackhill regrouped to draw level and then registered the only goal of the game with Jason Finnegan converting Colin Woods’ parried effort. Soon after that, Oram were presented with their own goal opportunity as they were awarded a penalty in an incident that saw goalkeeper Shane Farrell black carded. Gerard Mc Ardle managed to save the spot kick before Eamon Byrne took his place between the sticks for the rest of the game. Final score Blackhill 1-09 Oram 0-06.

Fixtures: Next league fixture is away to Killeevan on Saturday evening (23^rd) at 7pm. Junior Championship Preliminary round takes place on Sun 15^th May where Blackhill will face Clones.

Reserves: Crawley Cup Quarter Final Saturday 30^th April, Doohamlet vs Blackhill at 7pm.

Under 8s: Huge congratulations this week must go to our under 8 side who put in some great performances in the blitz last week. Well done boys and girls, keep up the hard work. A word of thanks also to Oram for facilitating the blitz. Training continues on Saturday mornings at 11am for under 8s and under 6s. All new comers welcome.
