On Saturday 29th August ,the U14/U16 South Ulster Hurling Academy teams took part in the annual National Hurling competitions.

The U16 team took part in the U16 All-Ireland C competition in Carrick-on-Shannon ,Co.Leitrim. They played 4 games in total and they were against Leitrim,Longford,Louth and Donegal.

The U14 A & B took part in the U14 All-Ireland C competition in Breffni park, Co.Cavan. The U14 A team played games against longford ,Mayo A and Sligo with the U14 B team playing games against Tyrone,Louth and Mayo B. The U14 A team progressed to the bowl final in which they beat Tyrone.The U14 B team progressed to the shield final in which they had a narrow defeat to Sligo.

This was the final competition of the year for South Ulster hurling Academy teams. Well done to all the players who attending the training sessions and blitz’s during the year and their parents for ensuring they attended.Many thanks Pauric Dowell,Ryan Gaffney,Aidan kelly and Shane Mulholland (RIP) for coordinating the South Ulster Hurling Academy. Also many thanks for the club coaches for  their help and support all year.Well done to all involved !
