Clontibret Notes

July 15th, 2014

Senior League

Clontibret 2-10, Ballybay 2-9. This was a real gritty, hardworking display from the boys who showed great character to come back several times throughout the game to win by the narrowest of margins.

We are due to play Doohamlet at home on Friday, 25th July at 8pm.

Reserve League Division 1

We played Magheracloone yesterday evening, result next week.

We are due to play Latton away on Fri 1st August.

Reserve League Division 3

Clontibret 3-7, Currin 3-13. Currin overcame us with a strong finish last week to dampen our hopes of qualifying for the semi-final. We play Toome away on Saturday at 6pm

The McKeown Cup championship semi-final v Killanny is fixed for Wednesday next July 23rd in Killanny at 7.30pm

Minor League & Championship

Clontibret 1-16, Toome 3-7. The minor league resumed last week with a narrow win over Toome in a tight competitive game.

We played Toome again in the championship on Tuesday gone by, result next week.

The winners of that match will play either Carrick or St. Tiarnach’s next Tuesday, 22nd July.

U16

Clontibret 0-6, Scotstown 2-10. We were well beaten by a strong Scotstown team last week.

This evening, Thursday, we are at home to St. Pats at 7.30pm.

Next Thursday, 24th July we are away to Truagh at 7.30pm.

The boys put in a good performance last Saturday to overcome neighbours Cremartin quite comfortably in the end.
