The U21s:
The u21 league starts off this Friday evening which sees our lads kick off their campaign with an away fixture against neighbours Iniskeen. Throw in is at 8 o clock in Iniskeen, make the short trip on Friday evening to get behind the team.

Minors:
Our Minors season resumed after the break last Tuesday evening as the lads took on neighbours Carrickmacross at home. See next weeks notes and Facebook and Twitter for result. On Tuesday evening next the lads kick off their Championship campaign when they take on Doohamlet at home. Throw in for that one is at 7.30 in Donaghmoyne on Tuesday evening. The lads will hope to go far in this seasons Championship and they will look to start it off well on Tuesday, so come down to the pitch on Tuesday to support the team.

U16s:
Our U16s were in action last week as they took on St. Pats away from home in Drumhowan on Tuesday evening. This was a tight encounter throughout with both sides displaying some great football at times. At full time there was still nothing between the sides and the points were shared. They return to action this Thursday evening when they take on Magheracloone. Throw in for that one is at 7.30 in Killany, make the trip on Thursday evening to get behind the lads

U14:
Our u14 team return to action this weekend as they take on Ballybay away from home on Saturday in the league. Throw in is at 12 o clock in Pearse Bros Park Ballybay on Saturday, come along and show your support for our Young stars.

U12s:
Both our U12 teams were in action last weekend, on Friday evening our B team travelled to Smithborough to take on Eire Óg. The lads put in a good performance from start to finish and came home with a good win. Then on Saturday morning our A team made the short trip to take on neighbours Castleblayney, thankfully the lads had the same fortune as ourB team and returned home with two points, a good weekend all round for both sides.

Mini Fontenoys:
Mini Fontenoys continue this Saturday morning from 11-12 in Donaghmoyne, weather permitting. All children from the ages of 5-10 years old are welcome. Parents are asked to get involved and help out and coach our future stars. Registation will also take place for 7-10 year olds this Saturday morning at 11. Regrestration is €5 per child.

Hard luck and Congratulations:
We would like to extended our congratulations to the Monaghan Seniors on their win over Armagh last Sunday in the USFC Semi Final Replay which now means they have qualified for the Ulster Final once again, special mention as always to our own Padraig Donaghy who represented the side. Sadly we extend our commiserations to the Monaghan Senior ladies who lost to Armagh in the Ulster Final but especially to all the Donaghmoyne girls involved.

Ulster Final Tickets:
All orders for Ulster Final tickets are to be placed with Tina before or on Thursday evening. Remember also that tickets can be purchased in most Supervalu or Centra stores.

Speedy Recovery:
The club would like to wish a speedy recovery to Martin Garland, the father of our current senior player Niall, from the illness he picked up recently.

Kellogs GAA Cul Camps:
This summer see’s the return of the Kellogs GAA Cul Camps to Donaghmoyne. The camp runs from the week beginning Monday July 21st to Friday July 25th. The cost of the camps are as follows: 1st child 55euro, 2nd child 45euro, 3rd child 40euro each, & 35euro if a child wants to attend another camp (without gear). All Camps cater for 5 to 13 year old boys/girls and they promise to be a great week of fun for all kids to enjoy while picking up all the skills needed for Gaelic football and hurling. For further information on camps please contact Paul O’Connor on 0868374827 or at developmentmanager.monaghan@gaa.ie or log onto www.monaghangaa.ie . Make sure to book your spot ASAP so you don’t miss out.

Lotto Sellers Wanted:
Any children in the parish who would be interested in taking up a lotto selling route would be more than welcome as we would like to cover more and as much of the parish as possible. Each child selling lottos will also receive a commission. Anyone interested can contact Brian on 0872915864.

Mouthguards:
Gum Shields have now become compulsory for both training and matches in the season ahead. It’s important all juvenile players and senior players have their mouthguard in place before entering the playing grounds. At Annual Congress in April 2012, a new rule was enacted that made it mandatory to use a mouthguard in all Gaelic football matches and training sessions from January 1st 2013 for all age grades up to and including minor. The rule will now come into effect at Under 21 and Adult level from January 1st 2014. Players will not be covered under the player injury scheme if they are not wearing a mouthguard.

Lucozade Sport Bottle Caps:
The Lucozade Sport Bottle Caps for the Donaghmoyne Club Crusade can be dropped into any of the 4 schools in the Parish, Mc Caugheys shop and also Lisdoonan Shop. Please Support.
