Ulster Club Championship: Derry champions Ballinderry Shamrocks defeated Clonoe on Sunday afternoon to set up a quarter-final clash with Scotstown on November 3rd in Clones.

Senior League: Carrickmacross conceded the League fixture scheduled for last Saturday. Those points confirmed Scotstowns place in the Senior League Final. There is one regular League fixture remaining, which will be at home to Ballybay this Sunday at 2:30pm, with the League Final opposition and date to be confirmed.

Development Draw: The Scotstown GAA Development Draw will take place this Sunday, October 27th in the Complex. First prize is a Seat Ibiza car; second prize is a cruise; there are three cash prizes of €1000, €500 and €500 for third to fifth and sixth prize is a pair of tickets for next year’s All-Ireland Football Final. Tickets are still available on the Scotstown website and from club members priced at €20 each or three for €50. There will be music in the Complex on Sunday night from 10pm with “Hair O’ the Dawg” performing – admission is free, and all are welcome to attend!

Ciste: The October Ciste draw takes place this Saturday night in the Complex. Tickets are €7, with the usual prizes on offer.

Annual General Meeting: The 2013 Annual General Meeting of Cumann Lúthchleas Gael, An Bhoth will take place on Friday, November 22nd in the Complex.

Conversational Irish: The conversational Irish group continues every Tuesday night from 8-9pm. Caint is comhrá as Gaeilge – tá fáilte le gach duine!

Condolences: Sympathy is extended to the families and friends of the recently deceased including JP McCluskey, Sheskin; Owenie Sherry, Golan; John O’Reilly, Dublin; Gerard McCarron, Knockronaghan; Maeliosa McMahon, Brownhill; Pat McKenna, Knockatallon; Mena McCormick, Killyvane and Vincent McClave, Ballinode.

Ladies League Final: Our Senior Ladies were defeated by a stronger Monaghan Harps team in the League Division 2 Final on Saturday last. After a shaky start which allowed Monaghan Harps to rack up a good score, the girls battled hard in the second-half, only conceding two points due to their hard work. This was not their day though, and the better team won. The team would like to thank the management team of Gerard McGuirk, Alice McMahon and Martin Kilpatrick who worked tirelessly all year with the girls.
