Seniors:

The Intermediate Football League returns this weekend as the seniors take on Corduff at home on Sunday afternoon at 2.30. This is a crucial match and the lads need as much support as possible so come along and get behind the lads!

Minors:

Our Minors took on Cuchulainns in the Championship final last Sunday in the first of their two finals this week. The game was played in terrible conditions which made it hard to play open football and made for a scrappy affair. Donaghmoyne were quickest out of the traps and went in with a two point lead at half time. The game then started to open up in the second half with end to end football being played. Donaghmoynes lead was down to the minimum with 25 minutes to go but was to be as close as the opposition would get. The lads then kicked on and were deserved winners at full time. A huge congratulations must go out to all, these lads have been knocking at the door a while now and have finally made the break through, so very well done to all. But celebrations must be put on hold and its back to basics as the lads will now try to complete the double as they take on Killany this Saturday in the league final. Throw in is at 3 o clock in Iniskeen. Make the short trip to support the lads as they bid to complete an historic double.

 

Important Notice:

All teams training in the field MUST train in the bottom field when it is available from now on. When using the main field, avoid using the goal area to stop digging up the area.

Lotto Sellers Wanted:

Any children in the parish who would be interested in taking up a lotto selling route would be more than welcome as we would like to cover more and as much of the parish as possible. Each child selling lottos will also receive a commission. Anyone interested can contact Brian on 0872915864.

Donaghmoyne GFC Table Quiz:

The Second Annual ‘Donaghmoyne GFC Monster Sport and General Knowledge Quiz’ in memory of deceased club members and also in aid of Cancer Research takes place on Friday 25^th of October at 9 o clock in John Joe Cunninghams Loft Carrickmacross so keep this date free. Table of four is €50. All teams are to be registered by the 22^nd of October. As much support as possible is needed for this worth while cause.

Ladies

Seniors:

Our senior girls took Termon in the final of the Ulster Championship last Sunday afternoon in Clones. The girls knew they would be up against it, against the side they beat narrowly in last years Ulster Final. At full time the sides could not be separated, which means they have to do it all over again. The replay takes place this Saturday at 2 o clock back in Clones. Come support the girls and give them that extra push needed to take the spoils.

Our Senior C team booked their place in the league final after they had a good win at home to O Neill Shamrocks in the semi final last Saturday afternoon. The girls will now face Seans or Killany in the final, details to come.
