An understrength minor team went down to a very strong St.Tiarnach’s (Clones, Currin & Eire Óg) side in Tyholland. Best of luck to St.Tiarnach’s in the final. Thanks to Dessie Daly who gave a huge commitment to get the players out, regularly travelling to Dundalk to take players to games from their work, Paul West for coaching the teams and John Costello who also assisted with both teams. The required commitment was not given by too many players this year at both minor and U-16 grade and semi-finals in both grades was as much as we deserved.

Bereavement

The club extends sympathy to Christina McQuaid & family, Carrickagarvan, and Kathleen McCahey, Killycard, on the death of Eileen Mohan, Ballybay.

Club Merchandise

A new range of club merchandise will be available from the club siopa from today Thursday. Check in the club social centre for opening times.

Breakfast morning with the players

A breakfast morning with the players will take place on Sunday September 29^th from 8AM in the club social centre. GAA members and all friends of Blackhill GFC are invited. The proceeds will offset the extra expense involved with contesting the Junior Championship Final.

All-Ireland Ladies Football Final
