CREMARTIN CLUB NOTES 29.08.13

Shalotto

There was no winner of the Shalotto held in the Social Club on the 25^th August 2013.  Numbers Drawn were: 18-19-21-25.  Lucky Dip Winners: Michael Meegan, Annyalla, Enda & Alex Brennan, Knockcarrick, Mark Magee, Croghan, Jim Mohan, Drumgallon and Ciaran Branigan, Lismagunshion.  The Jackpot stands at €7,000 and this weekend’s draw will take place in Atkinson’s Shamrock Bar on Sunday evening next. You may join the Annual Shalotto Scheme by contacting any member of the Club Committee.

PLEASE NOTE: ALL Shalotto tickets must be handed in by 9.30 p.m. every Sunday evening to ensure that they go into the draw.

Fixtures

Seniors: We are away against Inniskeen on Friday 6^th September 2013 at 8.00 p.m.

Minor Champ: We play St. Pats in the Quarter Final on Tuesday 3^rd September at 6.15 p.m. in Drumhowan.

U-16s: We are away against Truagh tonight Thursday 29^th August at 6.30 p.m. in the Div 2 Semi Final – Please support the lads!!

CREMARTIN V TYHOLLAND

We travelled to Tyholland last Wednesday and came away with two valuable points after defeating the home side by five points.  Tyholland got off to a great start with a goal in the third minute and added four points to this leaving them leading by 1-4 to 0-2 after the first ten minutes.  Cremartin dug deep and came back scoring seven points before the break to leave us two up at half time.  Tyholland responded with a point in the second minute of the second half but Cremartin answered this with a point of our own from a well taken free and continued to run out the convincing winners on a scoreline of Cremartin 0-14 Tyholland 1-6.  Team and scores: Damien Lavelle, Liam Atkinson, Patrick McGuigan, Conor Mulligan, Kevin Atkinson, Declan Farrell, Kevin McVicar (0-1), Jonathan McGuigan (0-1), Shane Burke, Shaun Buckley, Stephen Bishop (0-1), Kevin Brennan (0-7), Niall Flanagan, Barry Carragher (0-2), Patrick McNally (0-2).  Subs: Ronan Burke for Shaun Buckley, Ryan McVicar for Patrick McNally and Darren Bishop for Stephen Bishop.

 

CREMARTIN V DONAGHMOYNE

We travelled to Donaghmoyne last Saturday resulting in a draw and earning us another valuable point on the table.  This was a very evenly contested game where the sides went point to point for the entire game.  Final Score Cremartin 0-10 Donaghmoyne 0-10.  Team and scores: Damien Lavelle, Conor Mulligan, Patrick McGuigan, Liam Atkinson (0-1), Kevin Atkinson, Declan Farrell, Kevin McVicar, Jonathan McGuigan, Shane Burke, Ryan McVicar, Kevin Brennan (0-5), Patrick McNally (0-1), Niall Flanagan (0-1), Barry Carragher (0-2)  and Shaun Buckley.  Subs: Stephen Bishop for Ryan McVicar, Ronan Burke for Patrick McNally and Darren Bishop for Kevin McVicar.

Hard luck: to Mark Magee and the Monaghan Minor Team on their defeat in the All Ireland Semi Final last weekend.  Well done to all involved with our Senior and Minor Teams this year on what has been a great year for Monaghan GAA.  Roll on 2014…

 

Thank you: to Brendan McCourt and Marie Fox for providing great entertainment in the Club last Sunday night after the All Ireland Minor Semi Final Game.  These are a very talented duo and we are looking forward to having them back in the Club again!!
