Clontibret

Senior League

Our next senior game is scheduled for Sunday, 14th July at home to Ballybay.

Reserve League Division 1

Clontibret 3-18, Magheracloone 1-6. We had a comfortable victory over Magheracloone last Sunday evening.

We are away to Latton on Friday, 12th July at 8pm.

Reserve Division 3

Clontibret 1-12, Currin 1-7. The boys played well to secure a win against Currin in the league.

Our next game is on Wednesday, 10th July away to Aghabog at 8pm.

U16 Championship

We play the Harps in the Division 1 championship on Sunday at 5pm in Clontibret. A big turn-out of support will be a boost for the boys in this important match.

We have a home game against St. Patrick’s on Thursday, 4th July at 7.30pm.

U14

Clontibret 7-7, Latton 4-14. The boys finished up with victory in this close, high-scoring game. Well done on a great performance.

We are away to Toome on Saturday, 13th July at 12pm.

U12

Clontibret 4-10, Corduff 7-6. We lost out narrowly to Corduff in a great game last Tuesday. The boys put up a brilliant display and were unlucky not to get a victory.

We play Oram away on Saturday at 12pm.

U8 & U10 Blitz

We had two u8 teams and an u10 team participating in the Go Games blitz in Emyvale last Saturday. The boys put up some great performances and battled hard in every game. Well done boys.

Training continues for u10s on Wednesday evening at 6.30pm.

Nursery & Girls

Training continues for nursery, u8 boys and u8 and u10 girls tomorrow evening, Friday from 6pm-7pm at the field.

Good Luck

Best wishes to Conor, Dessie and Vinnie who take on Cavan in the Ulster semi-final on Saturday. Good luck also to Aodh Curran and Michael Paul O’Dowd who also play Cavan in the Ulster minor semi-final which will be played before the senior game.

Sympathy

The club extends its sympathy to our Chairman Colm Gormley and the Gormley family on the death of former club player, Pete Gormley. Pete was a stalwart corner forward on the team of the 40s and 50s when he and his colleagues brought great honour and many trophies to the club. He continued to follow the fortunes of the club at all levels in the years since his old playing career ended. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam dílis.

Senior hurling

We had a very disappointing performance against Blayney last Thursday night.

U16/U12 v Harps Mon 1st July (away)

Well done to Brendan Mc Cully who came 3rd in the county Primary School Hurling Competition.
