Gum Shields: It is mandatory for all players up and to including minors to wear gum shields at training and in games. As there are insurance issues involved it will not be possible to allow players to train or play without the gum shields. The regulations will be introduced for adult competitions in 2014.

Deaths; Fate struck the cruelest of blows to the Toome community, when death took two of its most decent and respected members at the weekend. We send our sincerest sympathies to both bereaved families. Suamhneas ar dheis De.

The late James (Jimmy) Lambe, Annadrummond, who passed on, suddenly, on the Saturday 1st June, was laid to rest in St Mary’s cemetery, Castleblayney on 3^rd.  He will be sorely missed by his loving wife Geraldine and children Jennifer, and John, sisters Margaret and Mary, grandchildren and a wide circle of relations and friends.

The late Thomas (Tom) Donaghy, Maghernakill, passed on in Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda on Sunday, 2^nd June and was interned in St Mary’s cemetery Castleblayney on 4^th. He is survived by his loving family, wife Monica, children Tommy, Marie, Sue, Tracy, Fiona, grandchildren, sisters Teresa, and Rose and brothers Peter and Larry, and a wide circle of relations and friends.
