Doohamlet GFC Notes

Reserves:  Doohamlet  2-12    Tyholland  0-11

Well done to our Reserve team who travelled to Tyholland on Sunday last and opened our season with a well earned victory under the guidance of new management team of Martin Hughes and Ted Duffy.  Doohamlet fielded a very young team and were full value for their win.

Congratulations to Barry McGinn and Damian Ward who made their senior debuts and also Ryan McManus who came off the bench for his debut.  Other positives were the return of Philip Mone after his nightmare last season with injuries.  Barry McBennett and Barry McGinn scored nine points between them with Philip Mone scoring 1-02 and Mark Murphy showing his class with an expertly taken penalty. Johnny Duffy was excellent in midfield ably assisted by Paul Brady.  All in all a great first outing and this team is on the road again next Sunday when we travel to Truagh with a 12 noon throw in.

Sympathies:  Doohamlet GFC sends it sincere sympathy and condolences to the family and friends of the Late Anna Coleman, Corleanamaddy and also the Leonard family on the death of Maggie, Tullynagrove.
