Juvenile and Youth.
St.Enda’s N.S. boy’s football team were extremely unlucky in the schools county final on Saturday last in Inniskeen. Their physically bigger opponents raced into an early lead but the Scotshouse boys never gave up and playing some marvellous football they clawed their way back into contention, as the game progressed they got to within two points which was all there was between the teams in the end. While they were very disappointed they surely will have another day and the hard work done will stand to them in the future. Ms Tierney and her team are to be congratulated on their great run in the competition. The team was, Kevin McPhillips, Danny McQuaid, Tiarnán Kierans, James McQuaid, Jack McQuaid, Shane Duffy, Sean Fay and Eoin Fitzpatrick.

Hugh Brady, R.I.P.
It was with great sadness that we learned of the death of Hugh Brady (Antony), formerly of Drumacleeskin, who passed away recently. Hugh was a valued member of the Currin team in the 1950’s. We extend our sympathy to his family and friends. Go ndéana Dia trócaire ar a anam uasal.
Matt Fitzpatrick R.I.P.
Currin GFC would like to extend our sympathies to the extended family of the late Matt Fitzpatrick formerly of Kilgarrow, Newtownbutler. Matt moved away from the area in the early 70’s but never forgot his roots around Wattlebridge. A much loved and respected sports journalist with, among others, the Irish News, Matt both spoke of and wrote fondly of his associations here and he was delighted with Currin achieving senior status in their 125th year. He had a long association with schools football, in particular the Ulster Vocational schools. Go ndéana Dia trócaire ar a anam uasal.
