Reserve football

We played Truagh at home on Wednesday evening in wet mucky conditions both teams found scores hard to get and a draw was a fair result in the end Latton 0-8 Truagh 0-8.

V- Monaghan Harps. We travelled to Monaghan on Saturday evening for a game we had to win to keep our hopes of a semi-final place alive. In a dull first half both teams were guilty of kicking some bad wide’s and Monaghan went in leading 7pts to 6pts at the break. When we went 5pts down 10 min into the second half it looked as if Monaghan would run out easy winners, but the interdiction of Paddy Shannon and Mark Duffy brought more life to the Latton team who showed Great Spirit and commitment to get back into the game and when Mark Duffy finished a great move with a well taken goal the lads held on for a great 1pt win. Latton 1-11 Monaghan 0-13. Team: C, Brady. K, lynch. C, mc  Elory. K Farrelly. C, Rice 1pt. P, Fitzpatrick. J, Nixon. K, Conlon . P, Conlon 1pt.  M, o Brian 2pts. D, Duffy 1pt. T, Connolly 2pts.
