Our game against Magheracloone last Friday night was called off due to their pitch being unplayable. Because of the awfull weather please check before you leave for a game to ensure that it is still on. It is hoped that no-one travelled last weekend. Our next fixtures are entirely dependant on the result of the County match on Sunday. Keep in touch with the Monaghan GAA website for definite fixtures. Also Fixtures will be posted in the village.

Results, league positions and fixtures are all on the official Monaghan website.

Ladies Football.

Monaghan ladies play Donegal in the Ulster final on Sunday 15th July at 3.00pm in Clones. What a pity that someone could not have seen that this is a direct clash with the men’s qualifier in Portlaoise. Surely a bit of sense and indeed courtesy could have been shown to those playing in both games and their supporters. Best of luck, to Ellen and Laura and all the girls.

Ulster Final

Cake Sale:  The cake sale on Sunday last after Mass raised €718. This was to help Emma Boylan who is travelling to India in August to do voluntary teaching in an orphanage.  Many thanks to all who supported this venture especially this week end with so much happening in the village.
