Under 8’s

OUR UNDER 8’S TRAVELLED TO PEARSE BROS PARK IN BALLYBAY LAST SATURDAY MORNING FOR THE LATEST OF THE UNDERAGE GAMES. IT WAS A TERRFFIC TURN OUT OF OUR YOUNG STARS AS WE WERE AFFORDED THE LUXURY OF ENTERING TWO STRONG TEAMS IN THE BILITZ.

OTHER  TEAMS FROM EIRE OG, INNISKEEN AND BALLYBAY PRESENTED FIRM OPPOSITION ON THE DAY. BOTH OUR TEAMS DISPLAYED SOME GREAT SKILLS WHICH ARE THE FRUITS OF THEIR DEDICATED TRANING.

 

ON TEAM 1 THE BROTHERS MC KENNA, SEAN AND CONAN, WERE ON FORM AND WITH HELP FROM CAOIMHE MC CABE, CIARAN MAGUIRE, LIAM MORGAN, LEAHY KELLY, MATTHEW MC GUINNESS AND KARL MC GUIRK SHOWED GREAT SKILL AND ALL PLAYED VERY WELL.

 

ON TEAM 2 PATRICK TREANOR, SHANE FREEMAN AND CATHAL MC ENTEE WERE THE DRIVING FORCE IN THEIR GAMES. ABLY ASSISTED BY SOME OF OUR YOUNGER COMPETITORS, OISIN MC PHILIPS, SHAUNA MC AREE, AMY BRENNAN, HANNA MC CABE AND OISIN KELLY.

 

BOTH TEAMS GAVE AN EXCELLENT ACCOUNT OF THEMSELVES AND REPRESENTED THE CLUB VERY WELL.

 

MANY THANKS TO THE BALLYBAY CLUB WHO PROVIDED REFRESHMENTS FOR ALL.

 

Under 10’s:

Our U10’s return to Ballybay this Saturday for this age groups blitz against the same clubs, with our regular in house coaching sessions continuing on Wed 7-8pm and Saturday morning from 10-11am.

 

Cultural Night: Our traditional Irish Music session took place last Friday in the complex. This was a terrific night’s entertainment. A huge thank you to all – our local talent, plus musicians from Clones, Corcaghan C.C.É. and Monaghan C.C.É. A fantastic night was had by all.

 

So remember to keep the 2nd Friday free, next session takes place on Friday 13th July. We look forward to seeing you all there. Everyone welcome!

 

Céile Dancing Classes take place each Tuesday evening, from 6.30pm to 7.30pm. Edel, Michelle & Paula look forward to seeing all the regulars!

 

Ulster Semi-Final:

The Ulster Senior & Minor Football Championship Semi Finals (Monaghan v. Down) in the Athletics Gounds, Armagh on Sunday 24th June 2012 is all ticket. Please contact club secretary Derek Mc Mahon by the weekend to order your tickets.
