Doohamlet GFC Notes

Reserves: Our Reserve team entertained our local rivals Cremartin on Friday evening last at O’Neill Park in a Div. 2 league fixture and came out on the wrong end of a three point defeat.  Doohamlet who were missing a number of players for various reasons were very much in this game for long periods but were very wasteful in front of goal.  Cremartin urged on by their own Mickey Harte Mooney on the touchline were more clinical with their chances and ran out three point winners.

Fixtures:  Doohamlet Seniors make their bow on Sunday next in the Intermediate Championship against Sean McDermotts.  The players have trained hard and with a number of injuries cleared up Doohamlet hope to have a strong panel to pick from and hope to get our Championship campaign up and running.  Throw in 7pm in O’Neill Park, Clontibret.

Sympathy:  Our club conveys its deepest sympathy to the family and friends of Lilly Finnegan.  Lilly was a true lady and a pillar of the community and her friendly character will sadly missed throughout the Doohamlet area.  Ar dheis Dé go raibh a hanam.

Congratulations:  To Gavin and Valene Duffy who became proud parents of a baby girl last week.

Well Done:  To Monaghan Senior and Minor teams on doing the double over Antrim in Clones last Sunday.
