Aughnamullen Notes

May 22nd, 2012

Sympathy: Tom and Elizabeth Byrne and Family Brackley wish to express their sincere gratitude and appreciation to all those who sympathised in their recent sad loss of Agnes Brady. The Holy sacrifice of a mass will be offered for your intentions. May Agnes rest in peace and may God have mercy on her soul.
Draw for Sods for the Pitch:
As part of the fundraising initiative ‘Sods for the Pitch’ which took place a few years ago the club undertook to have prizes of €10,000. It has taken a few years to get into a position to do this and we sincerely apologise for the delay. We are finally now in a position to honour this commitment and are holding the first draw on Sunday 3rd June at the Social Centre.
Each name that appears on the Sods for the Pitch board will be entered in the draw and each prize is for €250. There will be eight prizes on Sunday 3rd June and further monthly draws will be organised until the total prize fund is met. In the interest of spreading the prizes amongst as many of those who kindly participated in the initiative, once a name is drawn as a winner it will not be entered in future rounds.
So everyone is welcome in the Social Centre on 3rd June and if you have any queries at all please contact our treasurer, Tony Ward, on             086 8553925
Cuchulains sarsfields: last week played a strong blackhill side that ended in a draw, these group  off lads has been very unlucky, with six games played they won 2 drew 1 and lost 2 games by a single point so hopefully after the break ther luck will change.there next game is away to Tyholland on 26 of June. Come along and support these lads.
Senior/Reserve/U21: Training contiues every Wednesday and Friday nights keep up the good numbers.
Reserves: Played Clones in the quarter finals of the championship on Sunday last and were defeated on a scoreline of Aughnamullen 1-9 Clones 1-11.
