Cill Laobhain V Dubh Thamlacht: Spring League finals day, Cloghan Saturday 12th May.

Last Saturday saw the final games in the Under 12 Spring Leagues taking place in Cloghan. Our opponents on the day were Dubhthamlacht. Illness and injuries saw us travel with just enough players to make up a starting line up. Getting off to a good start with some well taken scores and very solid defending, it looked good for this young team as we approached the end of the first period. However a couple of late Dubhthamlacht scores left only a couple of scores between the teams at the break. On the resumption with the sky opening, Cill Laobhain found it tough going playing into an almost gale force wind and soon found themselves in arrears to some very well taken Dubhthamlacht scores. Despite a late second period flourish we found ourselves in arrears at the break. With tired legs and no substitutions available the Cill Laobhain boys and girls gave it their all in the third period but just came up short to the sporting and worthy winners Dubhthamlacht. These were the panel of players who took part in the Spring Leagues.

With the start of the Summer League only 10 days away it is imperative that all Under 12s’ attend training on Saturday morning at 10am and on Monday evening at 5:45pm.

Defibulator Training.
