Seniors. Ballybay Seniors had a busy weekend of football playing Carrickmacross Fri night and coming away with 3 point win Ballybay 1-10 Carrickmacross 0-10. Then on Sunday, a very windy and wet day the team regained their place at the top of the league table by beating Scotstown by 3 points.Ballybay 1-4 Scotstown 0-4. Next game is the 1st game of the championship against Carrickmacross on 10th June. Sponsored by Drumlin group Credit Unions .

U12s:Finals Day of Spring league took place in Cloghan last Saturday.Ballybay were paired with Cremartin in their final match which ended in a draw – 7 points each.Well done lads.All players were presented with medals after their matches and photos of Spring League Finals Day are on the Monaghan website.Training for U12s will now be on Thursday evenings at 6.30pm.First round of league starts 26th of May.
U14s:Ballybay took on Clones last Tuesday evening in 2nd rd. of the league.A great team effort saw the Ballybay lads win well on a scoreline of 7.18 to 3.11.Third rd.of league takes place this Saturday 19th,in Ballybay.They play Eire Og,throw up 12.00.All players please assemble at club rooms at 11.15am.
U16s(St.Pats):St.Pats met Aughnamullen on Monday evening in 3rd rd. of league.An exciting encounter as always that saw St.Pats win on a scoreline of 7.15 to 2.15.Well done lads !Next match is against Seans ,next Thursday 24th,in Sean Mac Dermotts at 7pm.Club Merchandise. Retirement, Ballybay Pearse bros wish to extend a happy retirement to Christy Mc Quillan who is hanging up his brush and shovel after 38 years with Monaghan Council and 22 of those years in Ballybay, Christy’s early morning presence in Ballybay will be a great miss but he will not be allowed to retire from his duties with the team.
