Senior League:
Our senior team have been enjoying a very successful run in the senior football league with consecutive wins against Latton, Truagh, Currin, and most recently Monaghan Harps on Wednesday 2nd May. All supporters who travelled to Gavan Duffy park enjoyed a great exciting game of football with Carrick displaying great teamwork and skill to run out winners by 11 points. Final score Carrick Emmets 1-18 Monaghan Harps 0-10. Team Andrew O Rourke, John McNally, Owen McNally, Mark McNally, Ryan McEneaney, Cillian Cromwell, Neil McEneaney, James McGeown, Peter O Hanlon, Owen Sherry, Ronan McMahon (0-1), Stephen Gollogly (1-0 Penalty 0-07), James Conlon, Mark Downey (0-7), Paddy Loner an (0-2). Subs used: Ryan McCabe, Ciaran Ward (0-1), Seamus Mulholland, John G Conlon, Ronan Gollogly. Ballybay Pearse are the next opposition on Friday 11th May @ 7.30pm at Emmet Park. We will then meet Castleblayney at St Marys Park @ 4pm on Sunday 13th May. Come and give all the support you can.
Our Junior B squad played a home game against Scotstown in the O’Duffy Cup Friday last, after a very strong second half for Carrick, Scotstown went on to win. Final score Carrick 0-9 Scotstown 1-12. Well done to all our players.
Our Under 12 teams play in the Zone finals on Saturday in Cloghan @ 3pm.
Congratulations to our Under 14 teams who both had wins this week. The division 6 team beat Currin on Tuesday last. The division 2 team beat Castleblayney on Saturday last, final score Carrick 7-24 V Castleblayney 2-1.
Well done to Karl Mc Menniman and Patrick Bermingham who played in a Leinster Rugby Final Sunday last.
The club lotto takes place every Monday night in the Centre. Jackpot is heading for €7,400.00.
