Reserve League

We played Truagh yesterday evening, Wednesday. The next outing for this team is the championship against ‘Blayney on Friday, 4th May.

Minor League

Clontibret 2-8, Carrick 0-7. Two second half goals from Stephen Mohan and Raymond McNally proved decisive in this tie against Carrick last Tuesday. We played Harps on Tuesday gone by. We have a home fixture against Scotstown on Tuesday at 7pm.

U16 League

Clontibret 2-11, Latton 2-13. This was an excellent, end-to end match from start to finish, but at the final whistle we were disappointingly 2 points down. However the boys can take heart from a great performance, keep it up. Our next game is against ‘Blayney on Thursday, 26th April.

U14 League

We played Emyvale in the championship on Tuesday gone by.

On Saturday both the Division 1 and Division 6 teams are in action, the Division 1 team are away to Scotstown at 1.15pm, while the Division 6 team are away to Clones at 12pm.

U12 League

We were unlucky to lose out to Latton on Saturday morning. We have a break this weekend with the next game away to Magheracloone on Saturday, 28th April at 12pm.

U10

U10 training will take place on Wednesday evenings at 6.30pm. All are welcome to come along. Well done to the Community Games u10 team who have won their first two games of the year, keep it up boys.

Under 8s & Nursery

Under 8s and u6 nursery kicks off this Friday evening 20th April at 6:30pm sharp. All boys and girls welcome. The evening will begin with registration so at least one parent/guardian must attend. This will be followed by practice until 7:30pm.

Club Meeting

There will be a short meeting for executive members this evening, Thursday at 9.30pm.

                       Clontibret Camogie News.

The playing season got underway in earnest last week with our U-14 team beginning their Armagh League campaign with a victory over Castleblayney. Well done girls! Many thanks to the parents and siblings who turned out to support the team and to Marie, Aisling, Catherine, Sinead and Katie whose assistance was much appreciated. Their next match is against St. Brigid’s Armagh. This match is scheduled for Tuesday next, when our seniors are also due to play Inniskeen, so a re-scheduling may take place. Please keep an eye on the e-mails and texts for arrangements and details.

On Friday evening the senior team played Ballymacnab in the Armagh League and although they gave a good account of themselves the outcome was decided fairly early on. Best wishes to Michelle Morgan who picked up a nasty injury to her shin – though she is making a good recovery.

At the time of going to press the seniors will have played Truagh in their opening match in the Monaghan League and, as outlined earlier, their second match takes place against Inniskeen, in Grattan Park, on Tuesday evening. Good luck girls!

Well done to our U-14 players who attended county training on Saturday last. This Sunday the Monaghan U-14 team participate in an inter-county Blitz in Cavan against Down, Louth, Meath and of course Cavan. Best wishes to all our representatives. Details of times and pick-up points will be forwarded as soon as they are finalised.

Due to the number of matches, training for our underage teams has to be rescheduled for the moment. Senior team training, however, will take place at 7.30pm on Friday evening. Parents will receive updates regarding all other age groups.
