Carrick Emmets notes
Carrick Emmets under 12 zone c team had their first game in the spring league at Emmet Park on Saturday last against Castleblayney Faughs and the Emmets were victourious after a good game of football between two evenly matched teams. The Emmets had a lot of good performers on the day with Oran Brady very steady in defence along with Jack Mc Geown (1pt) when moved back from midfield. Tiernan Mc Court (3pts) played well in midfield and up front scorers in chiefs were Killian Gartlan (7pts), Robert Mc Cluskey (3pts) and Oisin Cassidy (3pts). Oisin O Hanlon (1pt), Donnach Swinburne and Ethan O Gorman (1pt) played well when introduced after the first period. But the man of the match performance came from the Emmets fullback Eoin Finnegan who gave a brilliant display in the art of defending and reading of the game. Others to play well were Cian Maher, Eoghan Duffy, Tadgh Callaghan(1pts), Dillon Caralon Jacob Faughan, Pauric Malcolm, Lochlain Tooner, Jack Cassidy.
