Scor:Our talented Scor team travelled to Stradone, Cavan to participate in the Ulster Semi Final on Saturday 3rd March. The competition from rival counties Cavan and Armagh was very stiff and Monaghan was to only take two of the sections, those being Ballad Group and Set Dancing. There were mixed emotions for the Emyvale contingent as both our Ballad Group and Set Dance teams progressed to the Ulster Final but it was disappointing for the Ceili team and the Novelty Act crew who both narrowly missed out. The club wishes the very best of luck to the singers and dancers who will make the long trip to Derry City on 24th March for the Ulster Final. We know that you will represent club and county well in all you do. Our thanks to all those who have participated andrepresented our club so well and again to Gerard Mc Quaid for his support.

Handball: Some of Emyvale handballers were in action over the past few weeks. Darren Doherty contested the All Ireland Minor Championship Semi-final where he brought it to a tie breaker but lost out to a stronger player who was two years older than him so well done to him on getting that far. Conal Mc Kenna partnered by a Monaghan Harps player represented Monaghan in the U16 Doubles Championship and won through to the Ulster Final but were narrowly beaten.  Mark Mc Donnell was paired with a player from the Bawn Club and they represented Monaghan in the U15 Doubles Championship and they too reached the Ulster Final but were also beaten. Peter Larkin was in top form winning through to the Ulster Masters Final but unfortunately he was beaten so congratulations to all the players on their great performances.
