CLG Mhuineacháin to host the All-Ireland Scór na nÓg Finals!

Scór na nÓg All-Ireland Finals were officially launched in the Hillgrove Hotel on Monday with representatives from the GAA National Scór Committee, Ulster Scór Committee, Monaghan County Council, Ask Acorn Monaghan Scór Sponsor, Hillgrove Hotel & Monaghan GAA.

On Saturday, January 25th, 2025, the Hillgrove Hotel in Monaghan will come alive as Ireland’s most talented young performers under 17 take to the stage for the All-Ireland Scór na nÓg Finals. Hosted by CLG Mhuineacháin, this prestigious event returns to Ulster for the first time since 2017.

The competition celebrates Irish culture and language, transforming the sporting rivalry of the pitch into a vibrant showcase of music, song, dance, and knowledge. A total of thirty-six clubs from across Ireland will participate, with ten clubs each representing Munster and Connacht, seven from Leinster, and nine from Ulster. Scotstown, a club deeply rooted in Monaghan’s Scór tradition, is proudly competing in the Tráth na gCeist (Quiz), aiming for their first-ever All-Ireland title in this category. Best of luck to them, with all of Monaghan rallying behind as they represent their club, county, and province!

Adding to the pride of the host county, Katie Boyle of Achadh Bog will perform the National Anthem to kick off the event at 2 p.m. The day promises an exciting display of talent, with live coverage available on the TG4 Player, ensuring everyone can experience the electric atmosphere.

To kick off this cultural celebration, CLG Mhuineacháin warmly invites everyone to a Céilí Mór and a showcase of Scór performances at the Four Seasons Hotel Monaghan on Friday, January 24th, at 7 pm. Join us in extending a heartfelt welcome to participants and their families from across Ireland! This weekend is sure to be a feast of Irish culture, bringing communities together in the heart of Monaghan.
