Gaelscoil Ultain Vs Scoil na mBuachaillí , Baile na Lorgan 

Gaelscoil Ultain and Scoil na mBuachaillí played in the Division 1 final in awful wet conditions in Castleblayney. The game was very tight throughout with harsh conditions. Gaelscoil Ultain were very strong, but a resilient Scoil na mBuachaillí put up a good fight. Marc Ó Gairbhí was key to much of Gaelscoil Ultain’s play and  goal keeper Mc Geough pulled off tremendous saves in the first half. At half time the score was 2-2 to 1-3.  In the second half Cailean Ó Cleirchín was the standout player in a game that was score for score with both teams leaving nothing behind but in the end Gaelscoil Ultain snatched the win by a point on a scoreline of 3-6 to 2-8

Scoil Bhríde Mullaghrafferty Vs Scoil Mhuire, Latton

Scoil Bhríde Mullaghrafferty took on Scoil Mhuire, Latton in difficult conditions in the Division 2 final. Scoil Mhuire took the lead with an early goal and a point, however Scoil Bhríde were quick to react with key player Callum Mullen leading the way for his team on scoring terms. Still raining at half time in Castleblayney, Scoil Mhuire were still trailing Scoil Bhríde 1:5(8) to 2:6(12). With 4 points in it Scoil Mhuire never lay down and with a brilliant sideline ball in from Paudi Mc Elroy to his fellow teammate Oisin Rice, Oisin buried the ball into the back of the net to narrow the difference. Unfortunately for Scoil Mhuire they couldn’t maintain this momentum and with a courageous team effort from Scoil Bhríde they stretched their lead and won comfortably 3:17(26) to 2:8(14).

Scoil Mhuire Clontibert Vs St Mary’s Threemilehouse

The boys had to play in difficult conditions with the wind and rain. The first game of the day was Scoil Mhuire Clontibret V St. Mary’s Threemilehouse in Division 3. Scoil Mhuire got off to a good start with a couple of points. Scoil Mhuire’s goalkeeper Senan Dalton made a brilliant save in the first half. This helped to boost Scoil Mhuire’s spirits. Threemilehouse battled hard to get back into the game, an amazing goal by Cillian Kieran putting them back in the game. Oran Murphy displayed fantastic fielding to keep his team in possession and he and his team supplied their forwards with some great ball allowing Threemilehouse to mount a come back. At half time Scoil Mhuire were still in the lead 2-8 to 2-5. To start the first half Ethan Coyle scored 2 goals for Scoil Mhuire, this however was not enough to finish as Threemilehouse scored 3 goals and 5 points to gain the upper hand and they held on to win by the narrowest of margins.

Scoil Phádraig Oram Vs St. Micheal’s N.S., Donaghmoyne

Scoil Phádraig, Oram took on St. Micheal’s N.S., Donaghmoyne in the Division 4 Final. Scoil Phádraig took an early lead and maintained it throughout not letting St. Micheal’s get close to them. Scoil Phádraig’s Micheall Hamill was a major difference between the sides scoring a whopping 5 goals and 3 points, a total of 18 points altogether. Unfortunately for St. Micheal’s N.S., they struggled to get themselves back into the game on the day so it finished 6:11(29) to 2:4(10), a massive 19 point win for Scoil Phádraig.

Scoil Bhríde, Leitrim v  St. Enda’s N.S., Scotshouse

Scoil Bhríde, Leitrim faced St.Enda’s N.S., Scotshouse in the Division 5 Final. St Enda’s N.S got a good head start on Scoil Bhríde with a few points and maintained their lead all throughout the first half with some superb goals, leaving the half time score as 3:4(13) to 3 points in favour of St Enda’s. There was a fast start to the second half when goalkeeper Donnchadh Mc Caffrey pulled off a fantastic save to help keep St. Enda’s lead ticking. Unfortunately for Scoil Bhríde their goal from Jaydan Doogan-Ballantine wasn’t enough and they couldn’t maintain their momentum, as for St Enda’s they upped the tempo again and with a star performance from Callum Reilly with 3 goals and 5 points they secured the win comfortably with a full-time score of 8:6 (30) to 1:3(6).

Scoil Mhuire Gransha Vs Scoil Blaithín Íosa, Ballinagearn

On Saturday the 9th Scoil Mhuire Gransha and Scoil Blaithín Íosa played in the Division 6 Cumann na mBunscol Final in awful conditions in Castleblayney. Scoil Mhuire got off to a good start with an early goal from play by Aogán Martin. It wasn’t long however until Scoil Blathín Íosa grabbed a goal of their own from Jack Freeman. At half time say the teams separated by just 2 points with the score 3:1 to 2:2 In the second half Scoil Mhuire came back even stronger as Aogán Martin and Jacob Mc Cabe led the way throughout the second half for Scoil Mhuire. Scoil Blathín Íosa tried their hardest as the keeper made an amazing save but it wasn’t to be as Scoil Mhurie won with a scoreline of 6-6 to 3-7
