On Saturday the 24th August Monaghan U15 Hurling Development Squad played Sligo and Donegal in a blitz for the Peter O Keefe shield.
In the first game Monaghan faced Sligo, who where a big physical side with some very good hurlers but Monaghan played some of the best hurling of the year and at half time were 5 points up. The second half was difficult with Sligo playing with the aid of a strong breeze but with a couple of tactical changes Monaghan won the game by 3 points.
Donegal was next. This was Donegals second team and we won the game comfortably and also was able to get game time for all the players.
