Santa Claus
We had a fantastic turnout at our now annual Santa Claus visit and a great afternoon was had by all. Thank you to the Main man himself Santa Claus, his helpers Shauna McQuaid & Aoife North. To Pj McCaul for getting Santa safely to the Community Centre escorted by Francie North. A big thank you to our fantastic committee; Siobhan McQuaid, Fionnuala Kearns, Celine Smyth, Marie North, Shauna North, Aoife North and Siobhan McKenna helped on the day by Cara Kearns and Tegan Smyth. To Declan McCabe for making our grotto which added so much to the day. We also would like to thank sincerely Lorna Kennedy, our photographer for the fantastic photography taken in a professional manner and sharing them for us with parents’ consent. To our fantastic bakers Brenda Boylan, Vera Murphy, Deirdre Quigley, and Daniel McKernan who treated all to beautiful buns and cupcakes. To Veronica Burns for doing the face painting and doing a fantastic job. Thanks to our sponsors Clones Credit Union, AIBP, Scotshouse Quarries, Fr John McKenna and Monaghan County Council. We would also like to acknowledge the Avenue Chemist Clones and Supervalue for the spot prizes and Terry Fay for supplying the crisps and Minerals for the children. Thanks also to our two choirs, St Enda’s National School, and the Senior Choir in Scotshouse for the lovely singing round the tree, despite the rain. And finally, thanks to all the parents and children for coming out to see Santa in Scotshouse. We look forward to seeing you all next year.

Help
If anyone is struggling out there, please reach out to someone. Be it your doctor, a parent, the local Priest, or anyone. There is help available, and a problem shared is a problem halved. Please do not try to cope on your own. Speak to someone no matter how hard this may be.
Condolences
Currin Gaa would like to send deepest condolences to the Duffy and extended family on the sad passing of Philip Duffy, Corconnolly , Scotshouse, who was laid to rest in Scotshouse on Sunday last. Philip played for Currin for many years and won a gold Flake Tournament in the mid-sixties. Brian, his son also played for Currin, and now his grandchildren Kian, Shane & Aaron (Darcy) all play juveniles football for the Currin club. Granda is very proud of this tradition been carried on.
Go ndeana Dia Trocaire.
