Annual General Meeting
A quiet and businesslike AGM for 2024 took place at the clubrooms on Friday last. Chairman Thomas Greenan welcomed all and thanked those who helped make the club run smoothly over the past year including administrators, players, coaches, managers as well as the body of volunteers who make themselves available as required at matches and other events. Club Secretary, Frank McManus presented a detailed report outlining the various club activities at all levels during 2023, while Fergal Mone presented the Treasurers report which highlighted the importance of the 240 Club contributions in helping to keep the books balanced by funding the ongoing development works. Youth Officer John Paul Mone outlined the good work that goes on with juveniles from age 6 to 18 and praised the help received from parents in transporting players to matches thus keeping costs down. There was much praise for the ongoing development and maintenance work at O’Neill Park which has made it one of the premier grounds in the country. Special mention was made also of all team managers and mentors who gave of their time and expertise to various teams during the year especially Mick O’Dowd for his work with the senior team over the past two years. All outgoing club officers were returned for 2024 with the addition of Maria Neeson as Assistant Secretary. Also elected for 2024 was Thomas McGuigan as Club President while Mick O’Dowd comes in as Vice President.
Player Awards
At the AGM Chairman Thomas Greenan announced Player of the Year award winners for 2023 as follows; Senior, Ryan McGuigan, Reserve, Shane Myers, Young Player, Odhran. These will be presented at a function later in the year. He also congratulated Conor McManus on his recent awards including a place on the Monaghan All Star team, the Ulster All Star team and a nomination for the GPA/GAA All Star award. Well done all.

A new specially commissioned club app will be launched shortly which will be used for all club communications in the future, replacing whatsapp groups which are currently widely used. The club app will be the main means of disseminating club news, club gear, membership and tickets. Watch out for further updates.
CPR Training
Everyone involved in coaching should have some knowledge of cardiopulmonary resuscitation as an emergency can arise at anytime in any age group. A two-hour CPR training course will be held in Clontibret Community Centre on Thursday 30th November from 7 to 9pm. To book a place contact 086 8099253.
