AGM: Our annual AGM is taking place this coming Friday evening the 24th of November at 7.30pm in our Social Centre. All members of our community are invited along to see what the committee have achieved and what they are aiming for in the next few years. It will also be an opportunity to see how money is spent and to see how much work is involved in running the club. We hope to see you all there.
Sympathy: We want to send our deepest sympathies to the extended McCudden family on the passing of Michael Mc Cudden. Sympathy to his nephew Benny and his niece Eilish Gilmore and families. Despite living in London he was a great Aughnamullen supporter and would always attend matches when home on holidays. May he rest in peace.
Sincere sympathy is extended to Jennifer and Michael Geoghegan and extended family on the passing of Jennifer’s mother Vera Mc Mahon, Dunraymond, Monaghan. May her gentle soul rest in peace.
Well done: Thanks to our U11’s Boys Team and their families for their very generous donations of items for the Homeless this evening. Our own Rosie McGuigan came with Sonya from Help the Homeless and they were delighted. The children were so good helping her pack the bags and boxes into her van. Thanks again to everyone. If anyone has anymore donations they collect in Carrick every Sunday from 12-1 outside the Garda Station or you can also contact Rosie if you can’t make Carrick.
Movember: As we have just little over a week left of November, our Senior players are entering into the business end of their Movember charity fundraiser. As you may have noticed, many of our Senior team are sporting the tache this month and they will continue to grow so keep an eye out! With the big night on Saturday the 2nd of December the date where the boys shave their tache’s off, don’t forget to donate to a very worthy cause, which is for men’s mental health and cancer awareness. The link to donate can be found on our social media channels.

Ulster Club Championship: On behalf of the club, we would like to wish Monaghan representatives Blackhill and Scotstown the best of luck in their Junior Championship Final and Ulster Semi Final respectively. We would also like to congratulate the Castleblayney Hurlers on their success in winning the Ulster Junior Championship at the weekend.

25 Card Game: 25 Card Game takes place every Wednesday night in the Social Centre at 9pm.
Ladies: Commiserations to our senior team who were beaten by Killeevan in the league final on Sunday. Killeevan took the reins early on scoring 4 points without reply before Katie McAdam put Aughnamullen on the scoreboard. Killeevan registered another score before half time, leaving it 5 points to 1 point at half time. Aughnamullen had a lot of possession in the second half but kicked 7 wides. An Amy McArdle point came 12 minutes into the 2nd half. Our backs frustrated Killeevan with turnovers and a goal shot stopped by Aoife Hamill. Both teams added another point each with the game finishing up 6 points to 3 points in favour of Killeevan. Hard luck to the team and management, and congratulations to Killeevan.
Thank you to Churchview Flowers for sponsoring food for the team and management after the game.
The senior team now play Killanny in the championship shield semi final on Sunday at 2pm in Killanny.
