The Aoibhe Byrne Memorial Cup
Congratulations to all the organisers, volunteers and participants of the first ever Aoibhe Byrne Memorial Tournament. The Tournament was a great success, and it was very fitting that our U16’s became the first winners of the Cup. Well done everyone and we’re already looking forward to next year’s tournament to honour our beloved Aoibhe.
Seniors
Our Seniors play their first Relegation Group fixture at home on Saturday evening against Ballybay. Throw in is at 5pm. All support welcome, best of luck to all the players and management.
U13’s
Our U13’s had a mixed bag of results over the weekend. Our Division 5 team started off the grid first and they were crowned deserved winners of a final that went to extra time. They had a very tough battle throughout the game and came from behind in the second half to make it a draw at full-time. Extra time ensued and Magheracloone were victorious at the final whistle.
Our Division 1 and 6 teams were not so fortunate, and they both lost their finals by two points. All three teams have had a brilliant year and we look forward to seeing more of them in 2024.
U15’s
Our U15B team play their final on Saturday afternoon at 1pm in Killanny against Castleblayney. Best of luck to all the players and management team who hope to take the double back to Magheracloone.
U17’s
Our U17’s had a great result over Rockcorry on Sunday morning on a score-line of 2-17 to 1-11. Next up for this team is a home fixture against Latton on October 15th at 12pm.
Senior Ladies
Our Senior Ladies have reached the Final of the Senior Championship Shield and it is fixed for Inniskeen on Friday evening against O’Neill Shamrocks. Throw in is at 7pm. Please come out and support the ladies!
