By Majella Boyd Tue 10th Oct

Senior Championship

In awful nighttime conditions we overcame Latton in the senior championship quarter final in Blayney on Saturday night with Ryan McGuigan’s second half goal proving decisive.

Clontibret 1-9, Latton 0-9.

This sets up a semi final tilt with Inniskeen on Sunday at 3.45pm in Clones. This is the second game of the afternoon with Corduff and Scotstown throwing in at 2pm.

U6s & U7s

Congrats to all our 6s & 7s this year. We’ve had constant big turnouts every week and lots of fun aswell. A big thanks to our parents who help and support us and also to our coaches…without them it just wouldn’t be possible. Keep an eye out on things as we aim to do a winter program.

U9s

Training continues as normal this week. We are also hosting Aughnamullen at the pitch on Saturday morning at 10am.

U11s

Home match v Scotstown at 6.15pm on Monday. Training Thursday.

U13s

Training to continue Tuesdays & Thursdays at 6.15pm. Also starting Monday, 9th there will be an after school training session on the Astro for 4th, 5th & 6th class players with a view to running this over the winter months. It’s open to all the lads in this age group and a great opportunity to get out, especially if you’re not involved in any other sports as the dark nights set in.

U15s

Our U15s finished their season last week. Well done lads on the year, alot of progress was made. Many thanks to our coaches Damien, Sean and Fintan, and also to our parents for their support throughout the year.

U17s

Training Tuesday & Friday this week 6.30pm. We progress to the semi final of the championship v Donaghmoyne on Sunday, 5th October.

O’Neill Park

Many thanks to our great army of volunteers who helped with two games at our grounds on Sunday. The place looked fantastic and the large crowd at the senior championship quarter final was well catered for with many complimentary comments on our fine facilities and the many helpers who made things run seamlessly.
