Sean’s Notes

Bingo at the Seans

Well done to all our winners on Monday night, as we paid out nearly €5000 in prizes. Two lucky players scooped €1000 each and congratulations to them. All our jackpots are intact for next week and our main jackpot will be €11600. Make sure you get in early and get your books. Follow our promotions on Facebook with free book offers etc. If you have any queries, please message us on Facebook, email, etc, and we will assist in every way possible.

Big Breakfast

A big thanks to all those who helped with our breakfast morning on Sunday last. As usual the support from the community was huge, from supplying goods, cooking, serving and of course dining. A big thanks to Brendan Mc Mahon for sponsoring all the toasty bread, Treanors of Drumanconor for the eggs and all the other people that gave their time and energy to make it a success. We will be a making a presentation to Monaghan Arch Club in coming days as our nominated charity for the event.

Intermediate League

Our final championship series game took place , at home to Emyvale on Sunday. The team started brightly and exchanged scores the whole way to the interval in a very entertaining thirty minutes. However, the visitors tagged on a few early points, and we were playing catch up very quickly. In a crowded defence we found it difficult to penetrate with scores and the opposition eventually closed out their win. We now face into another series of games with the other relegation teams. This starts on Sunday with a home game against Clones. Good luck to the management and team as they head into this abyss of permutations and calculations that would give Einstein a headache. Less just start with a win and take it from there.

Senior Ladies.

Good luck to the ladies in their Championship shield final on Friday at 7pm. The venue is yet to be confirmed.

Congratulations to our U16 girls who have also booked a shield final spot in the coming weeks with opposition to be confirmed.

U17’s Championship

The U17’s fell to Latton in round two of the championship, at home on Sunday morning. Having established a two point lead at the break, a series of black cards dented our confidence and as a result Latton capitalised in the numerical advantage. In the end a nine point win for the visitors probably flattered to deceive and we now have a tough task against Cremartin, away , in the coming weeks.
