Juveniles:

Under 17s: Our Under 17s pulled off a memorable 2-10 to 2-09 win away to Corduff in the Division 2 Championship Semi Final on Sunday. This was a game which the lads held a comfortable lead late into the game and looked like they had their place in the final booked, however, a late barrage from the hosts with two goals saw the game back level having once trailed by seven points. To the credit of the boys, with the game in the melting pot and with momentum lost, they went up the field and found the winning score at the death to get a sweet victory and book a spot in the Championship

Final. They will play the winners of Donaghmoyne and Clontibret in the Final on the weekend of the 27th of October.

Parish League: Our Parish League took place on Sunday. After a brilliant day of football and many entertaining matches we had a presentation of the two cups in the Social Centre afterwards. The Ollie Callan Cup (Shield) was presented by Noel Callan to the winning team captain Harry Murtagh. The Wee Pat Duffy Cup was presented to the Cup winning team’s captain and Pat’s grandson, Noah Duffy. Well done to all players who took part in what was a great day’s football and thank you to everyone who helped out in any way on the day!

Sincere sympathy to Ann Marie and David Connolly Laragh on the passing of Ann Marie’s mother Kathleen O’Byrne. May she rest in peace.
