Lots of big games over the next week for our teams, so let’s get out and show our support! The very best of luck to everyone involved.
Intermediate: Our Championship campaign kicks in this Saturday afternoon when we host Toome in Tully at 4pm. Let’s make Tully a fortress for our teams with some outstanding support. Good luck to the team and management in the Championship campaign.
Minor: Our Minor team secured a Div.1 League semifinal spot when they defeated Killanny last Monday evening. 3 goals within the opening 2.5 minutes set the tone and the team never looked back from there on, winning on a scoreline of 2:13-10-18. This sets up a League Cup Semifinal against Scotstown on Monday evening. Watch out for time and venue on social media or the Monaghan GAA website. Once again, we ask that fantastic Emyvale support to come out and drive the team on from the stands. Good luck to the team and management.
U15’s: Wednesday 9th saw our U15 team face St. Kevin’s in the Div.3 League Cup Final Replay. There was nothing to separate the teams on the first occasion and for large parts of this game the teams were very evenly matched. Emyvale started brighter but it was St. Kevin’s who went in at halftime happier with a 4pt lead. However, these lads don’t give up and they can score. The second half was nip and tuck for large parts, but Emyvale put on the afterburners with 8 minutes to go and drove on for that hard fought win on a score of Emyvale 5:20-3:15 St. Kevin’s. Captain Harry Hamill lifted the cup and praised a gallant and talented St. Kevin’s
team for another tough affair. Now thoughts turn to the Div.2 Championship when they host Monaghan Harps in Tully on Thursday evening at 7pm. All support greatly appreciated! Good luck to the players and management.
U13’s: Next fixture is the Div. 2 Championship Rd.3 game on Saturday, when we host Corduff in Tuly at 11am. Good luck to everyone involved. Let’s show our support for our youngest competitive playing team!
U11’s: Training is every Tuesday and Thursday from 7 to 8pm in Tully
U9’s: Continue with Training as usual.
U7’s & Nursery: Training continues as normal.
U16 Girls: Emyvale Ladies U16 Girls played Monaghan Harps last Tuesday evening in St. Mellans for the Div.2 League Final. No result at time of press but we hope the result went Emyvale’s way! Well done to everyone involved!
Handball: Congratulation to Callum Gallagher on his win in the A Final of the Monaghan Handball Wallball Open Competition last Saturday. A great achievement Callum.
Well Done to Emyvale referee Niall “Mo” Mc Kenna who was recently appointed referee to the upcoming Canadian Gaelic Football final. A great honour and a great referee!
Thank You: With the recent Drive in Bingo and the ever-popular Tully Camp all being successfully ran over the last week, the club would like to thank everyone who took part in assisting and organising in any way. In particular to the Bingo Committee, Eugene, Nicholas and Martin O Brien, who were the brains behind the Bingo.
