The Lotto draw was held on Tuesday 8th August with a Jackpot of €3,100. The numbers drawn were 2,3,7 & 9 . Nobody had the correct combination. Cubs And Academy:
Once again the weather played havoc last Saturday and the Cubs and Academy training had to be called off but it will be back again this Saturday and we look forward to seeing you all.
Corduff Gaels: Fixtures & Results:
Greenfield Foods Senior Championship: The big Senior Championship weekend has finally arrived and attention now switches to the first round this Saturday. Corduff are in Group 1 accompanied by Ballybay, Aughnamullen, Latton and Truagh and we host Ballybay in Round 1 this Saturday 12th August @ 4pm in Corduff. Best wishes to the Senior team, Seamus and his backroom team. Hope to see a big home crowd on Saturday to support the boys in black and amber.
Corduff are away to Truagh in Round 2 on Sunday 20th August @ 2pm with a BYE on 26th August.
U7 Blitz: The U7s head to Tyholand this Saturday for a Blitz @ 10 am. Have lots of fun while practising those skills!
U9 Blitz: Corduff hosted a very successful U9 Blitz last Saturday. Teams from Donaghmoyne, Inniskeen, Clontibret plus Corduff attended. All players had a fun-filled morning with lots of skills on display. They also got to meet county manager Vinny Corey which made their day! Thanks to the coaches who organised it and to the visiting teams and coaches for attending.
U13 Cup Round 2: Congratulations to the 2 U13 teams on recording victories last Saturday 5th August. In Division 2 Corduff defeated Clontibret and in Division 6 Corduff defeated Latton.
Corduff Ladies :
Corduff Senior Ladies recorded their first ever Monaghan Credit Union Senior League victory last Sunday by defeating Truagh. Well done to team and management. Also thanks to Darragh & Fidelma who sponsored the match ball.
As the LGFA All-Ireland finals are this weekend there are no games going ahead with the exception of U12s which can play on Friday. I have to get confirmation whether Corduff U12s will have a game on Friday.
Combilift Senior Championship: As with the Senior men Corduff Senior Ladies attention has switched to the Senior Championship. Round 1 is on Saturday 19th August away to Scotstown @ 6:30pm. Best wishes to the team and management in their preparations for their first ever Senior Championship match!
