We played Oram last Wednesday night in Scotshouse and despite winning by eight points at one stage we failed to push on and lost by a single point with score line of 1-8 to 1-9. We went in at half time up by Five points 1-4 to 0-2. But unfortunately to many errors gave the visitors a one-point win.

On Friday night last we travelled to neighbours Aghabog and came away with a well-deserved victory with final score Aghabog 0-7 to 0-14. This was an excellent all-around performance by
the lads who really worked as a team. It was a great lift to finish the league campaign on a win and look forward to the championship in August.

Hard Luck to the Monaghan Minor team who came up against a much stronger Derry Team on the day. You have all done your County proud to reach and All Ireland Final. Well done Dermot and all concerned.
Golf Classic
The Currin Club held its inaugural Golf Classic Fundraiser on May 27th this year which resulted in much needed funds for the clubs many development projects at present. A fantastic day with brilliant weather was had by all who participated, the rarely used scramble format was appreciated by many, the burgers and ‘refreshments’ on the 9th went down a treat served by the equally delightful trio of Siobhain, Fionnuala and Siobhain.
Congratulations to all the prize winners on the day, special thanks to Kieran Kearns who sponsored the longest drive and nearest the pin prize, Playrfit for their prize sponsorship, Clones Golf Club and Shaun Donnelly Club Pro Rossmore Golf Club.
The golf committee would especially like to thank the following generous main sponsors
– Bunoe Co-op, Clerkin Consulting, Sisk, Scotshouse Quarries, LTES and Alyward, also Clones Credit Union and Terry Fay from Connollys Bar, both for his sponsorship and hosting us on the late evening. A word of thanks to Pat and Sean for the atmosphere in Connollys with their own brand of music and
song. Thank you Katie for your snack sponsorship and Fitzpatrick fuels for the water, and McEntees for the ‘refreshments’.
We thank all sponsors of teams, greens and Tees, the local businesses for their brilliant support along with members of our community and beyond, who gave generously.
A huge thank you to the players for the great effort put in in getting sponsorship and teams to play on the day. To committee members and club members who put their shoulder to the wheel in the same way, it is much appreciated.
Finally, thank you to the golf committee for their hard work and commitment which was evident in the success achieved from this event.
