Doohamlet G.F.C. Results: Our senior team played Carrickmacross on Friday evening last in Carrick. The game didn’t go according to plan, and we came away defeated by two points. The first half saw both sides trade scores with points from Oisin O Neill, Colin Walshe with two points, Hugh Mc Ginn with a point, and Barry Mc Bennett with two points. The half-time score was Doohamlet 0-6 Carrickmacross 0-7. Doohamlet opened the second half with a point from Oisin O Neill, Carrick stay ahead with a few points in succession and a goal, however, Captain Barry Mc Bennett hits back with two points and a point from Hugh Mc Ginn keeps us in the game. Jamie Walshe replaces David Mc Ginn and Kevin Mc Ardle replaces Mark Burns. Doohamlet scored a further four points, coming from Barry Mc Ginn, Colin Walshe, and two from Barry Mc Bennett. Jack Mc Elroy replaces Ciaran Markey and Emmett Mc Manus replaces Oisin O Neill. The final score of the evening was Doohamlet 0-14 Carrickmacross 1-13.
