Seniors: Donaghmoyne signed off their league campaign with an away win at Scotstown on Saturday evening which secured top spot in the table and a home semi-final at the end of the month. The opening exchanges of the game were close with the game tied 3 points apiece after 15 minutes, with Ronan McDonald (2) and Declan Courtney scoring for Donaghmoyne. From that point on Donaghmoyne took control of the game with Christopher Cunningham scoring a goal and three more scores from McDonald leaving the score 0-3 to 1-06 at the break. The second half continued in a similar fashion with points from Niall Keenan, Niall Garland, Christopher Cunningham and James McCaghey while Ronan McDonald added another goal to seal the win on a final score of 0-8 to 2-10. Well done to the team and management on finishing as division leaders and earning a home semi-final. We send our best wishes and a speedy recovery to senior player Cormac O’Connor who received a serious injury during the game.

U18s: There was disappointment for the minors in the final against Aughnamullen in Scotstown last Tuesday. The game was played in poor conditions with both sides finding scores difficult to come by. Donaghmoyne trailed 0-6 to 0-2 at halftime and failed to capitalise on a number of chances early in the second half to get back into the game, with only five minutes remaining Donaghmoyne scored 1-
02 to set up a nerve biting finish but unfortunately they couldn’t find another goal to bring it to extra time. Final Score 1-05 to 0-11. Hard Luck Lads.
Monaghan Minors: Commiserations to the Monaghan minors who lost in the All Ireland Final on Sunday to an exceptional Derry side.
Monaghan Seniors: Best wishes to the Monaghan senior team this Saturday as they take on Dublin in the All Ireland semi-Final.
