Intermediate League: Toome had an away fixture to Killanny on Friday last 9th June in what was a thrilling and entertaining match with nothing between the two sides, both sides giving it their all. It was a tit for tat game for the most part, Toome opened the scoring only for the home side to respond with 5 scores on the bounce, Toome came back in with a point and a goal followed up with another 2 scores, Killanny responded before the break and went in to the interval a p;oint to the good, HT Toome 1:04 – 0:08 Killanny. The second was a tense affair and both sides were eager to claim the points, some great play was on display for what was a very warm evening. Toome got a penalty for taking James out on his way through to goal and this was slotted home, Toome wen 2 points up at this stage and looked like they could hold on despite Killanny coming back at them, neither side was giving an inch and this was going to the wire. The home side and although Toome had the lead by a single point it was not to be as the home side got a free that was converted at ease to produce a draw. Toome will now face Monaghan Harps away on Friday evening, 16th June at 8:00pm. Please be sure to come along to show your support. #BeThe16thMan. FT Score: Toome 2:08 – 0:14 Killanny.
